Hi! My name is Luis Fernando and I’m a 4th year Bioengineering major and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science minor, pursuing the Berkeley Certificate in Design Innovation at UC Berkeley. I’m an international student originally from Mexico. My areas of interest include diagnostic and monitoring wearable devices, BioMEMS and biosensors. I’ve done research in biopolymers, electrochemical sweat sensors and immunoassays. I’ve interned at biotech and healthcare startups and worked as an extern at Carl Zeiss Meditec. I’m a very creative person with great passion about making healthcare non-invasive and continuous. Some of my favorite hobbies are photography, design, astronomy, running and rock climbing.
